An Old Familiar Face.

The design of our sunglasses will look familiar. Because it is.

We DID NOT create this design nor is it perfect.

It is a rudimentary version of a popular model which is manufactured by another company.

If you want a R&D backed evolution of this design, please buy from them. If you’re interested in helping students learn and become leaders, please consider buying ours instead.

We're ANTI-meh.

Just because we only offer one model of sunglasses doesn't mean that it needed to be boring.

Each of your handcrafted beauties was designed to elicit ooh's and aah's through your tasteful color schemes AND a feature you might not truly appreciate until its unboxing.

Unlike other manufacturers, Andy's Handcrafted Shades uses a different unique texture for EACH surface of your sunglass temples - candy cane, wood grain, zebra stripe, and river eddy.

Yes, it's just like wearing mismatched socks but why be "normal" when you can join us as style nerds with shades that stand out in a crowd? Let's celebrate our collective uniqueness TOGETHER!

Not perfect. But uniquely yours.

Our sunglasses are handcrafted. We don’t make parts by hand; however you’ll notice tool markings and what appear to be blemishes in your sunglasses.

This is BY DESIGN.

We embrace the Japanese concept of “wabi sabi”, intentionally leaving behind unique indicators of “flawed beauty” in every pair of shades we create. Savor those "perfect imperfections"... they're what make each of our shades a masterpiece of “one” - YOURS!

Why 2?

Yes, we do love the number two! Even so… limiting order quantities to 2 or less per household might seem like an arbitrary choice.

It's not. Through trial-and-error, we discovered two to be the maximum number of shades EACH student on our production line can, on average, accommodate with our 2 week production commitment without compromising competing priorities (academics, sports, community, etc.) in their busy lives.

One of our top guiding principles is "life without compromise" so we promote a healthy balance between school, work and personal commitments... we simply won't set ourselves and our fellow students up for failure!

Are we there yet?

Andy's Handcrafted Shades only accepts orders when we can produce them in a timely fashion. We commit to completing production within 2 weeks and shipment (continental US) within 4 weeks of your order date.

Think of us as the “nano brewery” of the sunglasses world. As our workforce ebbs and flows (new classes of students, academic breaks, etc.), item availability may be throttled accordingly.

We know this may be frustrating but, one way to look at it is that your sunglasses will be that much more special when they arrive!
